About Dean

Why are you a personal trainer?

I am a Personal Trainer because Im passionate about living a fit healthy life and want to teach, help and motivate others in following the same path. I love all sports and exercise, the most amazing part of being a trainer is changing peoples lives!

How did you get into personal training?

I got into Personal Training after working in many outdoor jobs such as gardening, roofing, paving, prawn trawling. I came to a realisation that this is not what I want and should be doing. There had to be better things out there, I was sick of working hard in an unrewarding job. I had to find something that I am passionate about. It didnt take me long to realise that a Personal Trainer would be the perfect job for me.

What have you learnt since becoming a personal trainer?

Since becoming a Personal Trainer I have learnt that people are different is so many ways.

What motivates them, how hard they can push themselves and what there best way of learning is. I have also learnt that nobody cares how much you know, unless they know how much you care.

Why do you love being a personal trainer?

I love being a personal trainer because Im always surrounded by happy positve people, people who are goal driven! To see people achieve there goals is the most rewarding part of all!

What do you do when you’re not personal training?

When Im not Personal training Im usally at the gym training myself for boxing. I enjoy going out and having a good time! I love the beach, movies, restaurants and dancing.

How do you workout?

My workouts are very high intensity boxing sessions. I train for about an hour and a half a day. Skipping, heavy bag work, light weights endurance, ab work and kettle bell training are all parts of my session.

What’s the one best piece of advice you can give to someone who wants to lose weight?

The best piece of advice I could give anyone who wants to lose weight would be to get your heart rate up to about 3-4 times a week for a minimum of half hour periods. Healthy eating and exercise go hand in hand, so I would also have a look at what foods you have been eating. By increasing the water and protien in your diet and combining that with the right training methods you will have a winning combination. Its only science after all!

Also, if you're having a difficulat time trying to get motivated enough to workout and finally get fit, you should definitely look into getting a personal trainer. After all that's what we're here for!

Finally! Fun Workouts!

No more dull and boring workouts - boxing style fitness keeps your mind engaged with exercises the average gym has no clue about. Why waste your time on another boring workout?
